Count Your Blessings

 I finally found a stand for my Statue at Hobby Lobby is was 50% off is the only reason I bought it, they are just to expensive for me. One just like this had a damaged top and its just pressed saw dust. Pure junk! But this one just had some little spots of paint rubbed off and that was fine by me, I just dabbed it with paint and it looks fine.

I found this gorgeous book box with this sweet little girl holding flowers. I love these little boxes to put stuff in them for people I love. Both my boys have boxes with all there stuff from school  and growing up. A baseball that my son had when he was young, pictures he has not seen and love letters from me. I'm doing the same for the Grand kids! What little treasures are you saving?

Happy Fathers Day

Grandkids for the Memorial weekend

 I haven't had good pictures of my Grands lately so we took some in the backyard. My pretty little Alexis.

My weekend from hell

 Oh looks can be so deceiving, those precious eyes, that cute face. But trust me this is a 1 1/2 pound ball of Terrorism!! I called her Miss Bella in the beginning cause well she was cute. By the end of the second day I called her Terrorist. This mutt tore up 3 pairs of shoes, my arms and hands are covered with sores from her sharp claws and biting. She is only 3 months old, and was taken from the litter way to early. My kids bought her and really love her, well that's because my two Grandkids can keep up with her. With my c.o.p.d. and other health issues I could not keep up. I called my son and said "o.k. we tried it and I now want to kill it so please come pick her up, Baby can't stand her either and I think he wants to eat her" I'll be right over he says. Well that was joy to my ears! Now don't get me wrong, I'm known as a big animal lover but I will never have a puppy ever again!!

New Yard Is Done!

 New yard, I finally got the bark in and plants, now I get to plant many small plants I love like

 Purple Clematis, in my pot here with one of my trellis's. These get so gorgeous.

 I received a Bench that had been restored, the Grands love it. It's there's they said.

 An old clay fish I bought many years ago hangs on the wall. Enlarge you can even see a mole above his lip.

 I have some lights to go under the cabana. I'll have to con someone to put them up, nope not gonna be me!

I have a bleeding heart, Anemone, Dalia, Lobelia, Poppy's you name it I'll put it in. I'm having so much fun designing my new yard. The other house was way to windy and I'm sure glad to not be on the hill anymore. I hope you all have a great wend, we had perfect warm weather yesterday, and today high dusty dirty winds. That's the way it is in the dust bowl of the Tri-Cities.

Having Fun

 Grandkids stopped by yesterday to tear up the place, we had such fun taking video's of these two doing different tricks with each other. My Grandson's birthday is tomorrow and he's turning 6 years old so that is all he wanted to talk about.

 Not much of a picture but I bought this sun catcher post that goes in my planter and has multiple colors that come on and it's real pretty.

 This is quite a large lantern I got on my shopping spree at Target.

I got all my pots cleaned and now they are ready to be planted. Mmm think I will do some different stuff this year. Hope your weather is getting better! Happy Planting

Happy Happy

 I went to the furniture store to find a book shelve and found a couch too. It was 30 percent off and I know a good deal when I see one so I went for it, isn't it cute? just a small love seat for my small living room. My son kept saying to me when are you going to get a couch so I can sit down? I told him I had plenty of chairs. But I definitely needed a couch, my Granddaughter texted me and said "Way to go Grams" now that she's older she's into calling me that instead of Grammy. Little stinker I just love her.

Just threw up a few things to show off my book shelve, I have so many books and they have always been in boxes so no more of that. It's a hardwood and real heavy so I have to have my son bolt it to the wall. I'll feel it up in no time. That's about it, now I'm working on the outside of the house and will keep you abreast of that. I hope your having good weather, we are one day cold the next day the sun shines, and round and round we go.

My Beta has a new name

I decided to go out and get a new Beta fish, my last one lasted 7 years and I found the bowl tonight and decided it was time. They are such beautiful creatures to watch, this one is in my kitchen so I can see it at all times. I hurt my back so this is why I have not blogged much, it's now one month since I hurt it and I still have not seen the back doctor? April 11, I'm suppose to go in and see what to do about it. I definitely broke a bone that much I know already. So here I sit not being able to do much. I need a name suggestion for my Beta anyone have ideas on a name will be appreciated. Come on get silly and creative!! Have a blessed wkend coming up. Pearl
UPDATE my new Beta is named Bubbles, thanks to a sweet little girl named Claire! Thanks Wendy that was so nice to have your daughter look and name my fish. THANK YOU CLAIRE!!!!

Good News!

 I got my new curtains up Wednesday, light panels for the slider and dark wood to make cabinets and block out heavy sun light area's.

 This is a close up of one of the panels, it looks like a beautiful lace up close and blends in with the wall color and the ceiling color. I really love them, the panels have come along way from the 80's and 90's.

 I found a beautiful piece of art work from Wayfair which works with Walmart, the colors are really vivid and gives me that pop of color I needed.

 The next day Thursday my bed arrived which I splurged and got a sleep number bed. I'm so glad I splurged! it's like a piece of heaven. My son has one and he talked me into going and seeing one. I thought great now I can use my duel sided bedspread. Which I had forgotten went to a twin size bed? Now I have to find a full bedspread, it's always something. But for now it covers me and that's all I care about. The room will eventually be done in soft blues.

Poor vanity has to be re-painted and the sitting bench like I mentioned will be recovered in blue. It's a real happy time for me. I'm so glad I made this move and I wish I had done it sooner. Maybe waiting made me appreciate it more, I think so anyway. Have a great week I'm looking for a lawn mower now since we have been having beautiful spring weather lately.

All work and no Play makes me Tired

 Decided to rearrange my bookcase which is the only thing I have now to show off my pretties. I have said for years now that I need a big display cabinet but I have not found the right one yet that I can afford. But some day I will just hope its soon.

 Cleaning rearranging is what I do all the time, nope that doesn't look good there, how about this room? no not here....and then saying "I have to much junk!" time to sell again, the stuff I could not do last time has got to go this time!

My son stopped by tonight and we had a good heart to heart talk, I love it when my boys will share with me it does my heart good, but there grown men now so it doesn't happen often. He is real happy for me and his Dad so all is well with the world. Have a great week all, hugs, Pearl

Sunday contemplation

I had my aging parents come over this morning, it took them 3 different times trying to find it the last few days so my sister drew them a map and they made it. Dad had seen the house before and loved it and Mom fell in love with it too. It's a great floor plan, with plenty of room to stretch out. I had the Grand kids on Friday and we had a lot of fun decorating and playing with there toys. There such good company, but it was nice and quiet today which I was looking forward to and it gave me time to reflect on all the good things in my life. This was the best decision for me in a very long time and I'm so grateful you have no idea. Life is good and I thank God for family, who have helped through this immensely. So just checking in and taking it slow on this super sunny day today. Hugs, Pearl

Settleling down a bit

 Nothing like a vase of flowers to cheer up a room, multi colors that make me smile each day and think of sunshine.

 I always have to have a bowl or tray of fruit to keep my engine running smoothly. :)

 I went shopping today to get some essentials and one non-essential, new can opener, cookie trays, etc.

 The only phone I have right now is Mickey but he sure makes me smile every time he says "Oh boy you've got a phone call" and then he laughs. It makes me laugh each time.

Baby is taking one of his rare breaks from following me all over the house, poor baby still doesn't know whats going on. My son and Darrell have seen him a few times and he's over joyed but as soon as I move around he follows me. I was gone for two days getting the house ready for him to join me and he was really lost. He is so devoted to me and such a sweetheart. My Granddaughter just called me and said she and Mommy were out shopping and would I like them to pick up one of my favorite drinks and bring it over? I said "Sure!" Isn't that sweet? Talk to you soon and I hope you all have a good wend.

I'm In My New House!

I got in the new house two days ago and moved all the big furniture in and boxes and boxes galore! My husband and two sons all helped out with a moving truck and to say the least we all have bad backs today except the 21 year old son! I brought my dog Baby in Saturday and he is my constant shadow and keeps going to the front door looking for my boys and just can't figure out what's going on. But with new toys and food he's happy. You can always show love through a mans stomach, err dog. We are setting in nicely but as you can see we are in a bit of disarray.

 View of my wonderful kitchen which I adore, with lighting under the cabinets which I have always wanted. New to me also is granite counter tops, I must admit I like my laminate counters we put in our luxury home better. My Mom has always had the granite and the water spots and dust that show on them sucks, but I will deal with it I still have to get water softener and that's going to take some time. The water around here is very hard.

 Like my curtains? Thanks there the $3.00 and 2.00 dollar flat sheet only ones from Walmart which a lady pinned on Pinterest. Great tip until you get curtains up. How do you like my card table? Another purchase I need to make ha ha.

 Sorry for the quality of some of the pictures, we lost our sunshine and I forgot to turn on the lights? duh

 Here is my master bedroom which I get to use my Antique furniture now, Yippee!!

 Here is the dressing table, I still have to get a mattress for the bed frame, until then I'm quit comfortable with an old one on the floor. It's like camping out. The bench here is to be recovered, which I have the materiel so I can put the right era of materiel on.

Then pan left more to my toasty gas fireplace. I have never used gas except in camp trailers so I am loving this. I still have to find a T.V. console instead of my Grandma's hope chest she gave me right after she passed. Thanks Granny! Well that pretty much sums up the tour for today and I promise pictures out side as well as I continue on my journey. I feel so happy!!!! and blessed. Thanks for going on the tour with me :)
