My New Toy

I just received my new purse pistol, a pink pearl handled 22. It's so cute and fits real nice into my false bottom purse. I love guns of all types I've been shooting since I was 10 years old, I got real good at it too. Me and my friends would go out to the boony's and set up targets and just have the best time. Some times we were on horse back or we were out riding our motor cycles, we would pack a lunch for the day and be gone for most of the day. Tomorrow I go for surgery on my foot so I will be glad when that is over. But I will keep my pistol at home, I don't want to accidentally shoot my surgeon :) Will be laid up for awhile so I will see you all soon..

Of Loves Lost But Not Forgotten

My sweet little companion passed away last night, gently in his sleep. He was 16 years old and brought this family joy every day. The last month he started to revert back to being a little pup that wanted to jump into my lap and be hugged and cuddled all the time, and I was thrilled with that. His poor little body just could not go on so it was time. Gently into the arms of heaven. I love you "Little Rock" that's what I always said to him.

Stress Test

No not this! kind of stress

But this kind of stress test, you know I was really nervous about this test because I have C.O.P.D. and I thought I would pass out or something worse like coughing so hard I would pee my pants :/ But I did fine until they said "well we have to do it one more time because we didn't stress you enough. Huh?

The second time I thought I was going to go flying off the machine! I was breathing so hard I was like O.K. I can't catch my breathe and finally I was fine. The doctor said it all looks good but I will have to go over everything some more and then tell your doctor the final results. So I'm like cool at least one body part is working good :) And then he says "Has anyone ever mentioned a leaky valve?"

Uhhh No! "Well its very minute and it's really nothing so I wouldn't worry about it" I told him he had my attention now, just what do you mean by all of this, draw me a diagram so were on the same page he then went on to explain and said you just might want to check it in another 5 years. Crap! why did he even say that? It's really nothing he says, sheesh. But it's good news for me unless I hear anything further, I think? The bad news is I have to have heel surgery I have been dealing with this for years. My foot that is, I have such a hard time doing anything for very long because it feels like a hot poker going up my heel ouch! So on the 24th I will be down for 3 weeks ugh. It will be a great time to get some old movies in and read a book. Then off to physical therapy, I can't wait to go shopping without having to sit down constantly. Wish me luck!

Let's Go Shopping!!

Today was definitely the best day ever at the store! We sold so much furniture little tables 4 dresser drawers, and our very large display cabinet that is 8 ft. tall. Word has gotten around to the many vintage dealers and one came in and spent $546.00 in one fell swoop. Then the day kept going and before you knew it we had over a $900 dollar day whooohooo!! I took all of my money and spent it at this new place in town that is so cheap for household decorating items. You probably have heard of these places in your town but maybe not, here's a link http://realdeals.net/ You may remember I posted about the new "Hobby Lobby" in town that we were so excited about. But as it turns out there darn expensive! So I have only bought small crafting items and that's it. "Real Deals" has beautiful nice stuff at 3/4 the price. Denise and I found so many things for our home. Out with the old and in with the new. My thing is for everything I buy I have to take the same amount of things to the store to get rid of. I found this gorgeous lamp in very mute blues and browns, sorry about the pictures I always take pictures at night and they just don't do well. It matches my decor perfectly, then I found these faux cakes that are so real looking and perfect for my "Jake Platter".

These nice apothecary jars are perfect and now all I have to do is fill them. I have the Grand kids all day tomorrow so it sounds like cookies will go in here :) I hope your wkend is full of magic also!!

Finally A Little Creativity

A couple of tags I made for the store, I have a gal that's never done anything crafty and she likes all my stuff. She has a booth in a Antique store and comes each Saturday and buys up my stuff and I teach her more stuff to do, sending her off to her home work for the week. I make up some tags to give to her for reference. What fun when you can inspire and teach someone, it reminds me of when I worked at the Juvenile Justice Center in our town eons ago. They would let me do the teaching of new staff members because I loved doing it. I made a lot of friends that way and still run into them in town now and then. My sis and I are still doing the store and the competition out there is real tough but we meet some of the coolest people ever! And most are ready with a story, so that makes it worth it. That's about it here so off to get inspired again!
