Enamelware

Colleen over at http://mainstreetmemories.blogspot.com/ is showing off her enamelware so I thought I would too. Since I have nothing else to blog about I'm steeling her idea. The light lavender "pitcher" is brand new that I found about 3 years ago. Which I didn't even realize they still made this stuff. It lasts forever!!!!!!! The small pitcher I got at a garage sell, about 30 years ago. I've had plants in this thing every year too, I just take it into the garage in winter. I can't get enough enamelware its so great to put in the garden. The new lavender pitcher I leave on the front porch to water my planters, and in the winter it comes inside and I buy large bunches of flowers to make a table display. It has got to be American Made because it lasts forever. I think I will go Google that now that I'm thinking of it. Have a great Sunday Ladies

I bought this chair many many years ago when I had my first home. It was a mobile home and had a built in desk, so I had to go find a chair. So off I go at 21 years old to J.C. Penny to look for a chair. Rude awakening! $300 or $400. Aaah I just spent all I had for my home and needed the rest for payments each month. So I went straight to Good Will and bought a chair for $16.00 and I thought at the time that was way to much. But it was sturdy so I bought it, then I painted it and recovered the seat. I've changed the covering about 4 times now so here's the latest.

I love this rose. Anyone know if it's a "Peace Rose" ???

Baby's Blankie

"Babys" new blankie! He had to sit here the whole
time I was cutting the material to make two blankets.
He has to get right on top of my fingers to see "what is
Mom doing?" I got to cutting and once I was finished I
threw it in the air landing on top of him and that's all
he needed. He starting playing madly with it, then my
husband yells from the living room "Baby let me see your
blankie!" Baby scooped it up and went straight to "Dad"
to show him.


Thanks ladies for your concern on my images not up loading. Yes I've heard people can't leave comments on others blogs also. Sharon you crack me up! I just may have to send Blogger some Corn meal Bwaaaahhah! Oh Elizabeth I heard you can use Grits too on Ants. But you say it didn't work?? So I'm sticking to corn meal. It really did work too I go by the ant den that I've had and not a ant in sight! And this is a den I've had come back every summer for 11 years. I'm glad somebody finally told me what corn meal is for :) And Katie I thought for sure you were on the right track about "Java" because I had gotten rid of java because it was giving me fits. So I read somewhere that you have to have Java, then I saw your e-mail Katie and you talked about it might be Java. So I downloaded Java and I knew I was right on track with it. Then I went in and Blogger still won't work!!!!? Gosh I thought that was the answer for sure! Grrrrrr There's probably a virus going around because so many are having the same trouble's. Poor Blogger has to battle that every day for us bloggers. But dang I have to have someone to scream at! Oh I'll go yell at the ants outside, but there are none! (insert scream here)
Now I will calmly go to all my Friends blogs and see how you all are. I do this every time you put a new blog on. Happy evening everyone!!!

Images are not appearing on friends pages, other people cannot load images like me? I don't get it. All I need is a little love People!!!!! It's not my computer because I have tried on two others too. I'm so bored I can't believe it! I'm actually reading a novel?! I haven't done that in oh lets see....5 years. I might just learn something?
Any who I'm crafting more! and that's good for me. I'm also pulling more weeds and killing ants and planting. Did you lady's know that you can put "Corn Meal" on an ant pile and they love it as a food and take it down into there den's and eat it. Well there little bodies can't digest it and they die. I thought my husband was fooling me so I tried it and it works!! It totally kills the hole den so that den will never come back.
Geesh I need to listen to the old ways more often (or my husband..yikes) and not buy so many chemicals. If you gals have any old remedies for the garden let me know??

I have to share the most beautiful cloth picture that Laurie sent me from http://buttonsnlace.blogspot.com/. Laurie I cannot even express my gratitude enough for such a thoughtful gift. I am tickled "Pink & Green" (my colors) This took time and thought and it is perfect. I love it dearly especially since you my friend made it. It's a crazy quilt piece with my favorite picture of my Granddaughter on material. It's put into a frame with the cutest flowers on each corner. I can't wait to show my Granddaughter! She'll say "that was a nice lady that did that" she is so thoughtful that way. It will grace my craft room Laurie forever. It's perfect! Thank you sweet lady

Happiest Mom In Town

I had the best Mothers Day ever! My 17 year old son Brandon took me, his girlfriend and her Mother (Kim) to breakfast. We had a really nice time and good food. And nobody was there? so sweet. Yes they took us to "Taco John's" what a brilliant idea eh? No lines, no waiting, food in 7 minutes flat! Now that's what I'm talking about. Then we went home to share our day with our own kids and when I got home Brandon snuck up behind me and gave me a box. I had no idea. He gave me this beautiful "Mom I Love You Made Out Of Glass" I just about lost it sniffle, sniffle I love my two boys so much! Then the 30 year old sent me an e-mail saying Happy Moms day also. Then he stops by later and gives me a card! We just live for these moments don't we. So "Happy Mothers Day" from our home to yours.
