Update On Jessica

I wanted everyone to know that Jessica is fine! She called me the night of the accident, she was home and on pain pills and sore as hell. The miracle to this story is she has no broken bones (we thought fingers and wrist broken) no head injury, the reason she was bleeding so bad is she had a small gash on the back of her head that only took two staples. The small cut on her forehead didn't even need stitches, they put super glue on it and a butterfly bandage. She is bruised and battered real bad and I suspect she is gonna feel every bone in her body ache the day after. She was very thankful to me and she was able to find the other couple through using her cell phone and called to thank them. Her parents were notified the evening of the accident, they were on there way to Wisconsin and then to Illinois to move there. Jessica told me that one thing her Father instilled in her ever since she was little girl was WHERE YOUR SEAT BELT. We all said that she would have been dead otherwise. She wanted to know if she could have copies of the pictures and I said "I've already printed them out". I told her how happy I was that she was o.k. and she kept saying "I'm so stupid!" I told her don't ever say that because its not true you we're so smart to wear your seat belt and we all get distracted by flashing lights from cops it's just natural. I said plus you we're tired and that's a bad combo also. She has insurance and had worked very hard to get her pretty car but I reminded her YOUR ALIVE. I will go see her in a couple of days because she wants to see me and I also want to see her. She's really a doll. Thanks for your kind thoughts but the only hero here today is God.

Haven't heard back yet....

Well we have not heard back from the other realtor who showed our house, but hubby says it takes a couple of days to write a proposal up. Soooo were waiting??? It's killing me but in the mean time we have another showing tomorrow! We have had something like ten showings so far and that's a very good sign.

In other news:
We interrupt this program to bring you breaking news!
On my way to take some food to my husband up at the new house this is what happened right in front of me. I was coming on the off ramp to get onto the highway and this is what I saw. I'm merging on and there is a State Trooper on the other side of the highway and he had stopped someone and was writing a ticket. So naturally I turn to look and when I turned my eyes back to the road in front of me this car over corrected and went down the embankment then flew through the air hit ground and went end over end and then just kept flipping over and over.

I slammed on my brakes and jumped out of my car and started running down this hill and all I could hear was crying like a baby the motor was still running on the car I was yelling are you all right while I was running and falling and tripping down this hill. I just heard a muffled cry and she kept saying help me help me, I told them I was coming and all of a sudden I saw two hands come out the window and she looked like she was trying to swim. I screamed at her to get out of the car (as I was snagged on barbed wire and falling) I said the car is going to catch fire get out! she started to crawl out of the car real slow and just stood up bleeding like crazy, I was screaming keep moving away from the car. She did and then I said "Sit down now" and she was just wandering, I screamed at her again Sit down! and she did. I finally got to her and she had blood streaming down her face and by then a bunch of people stopped and were running down to us. A guy yelled to put a coat on her and I didn't have one on so when he got there he ripped off his sweater and put it around her. His girlfriend got there and some one else yelled to put pressure on her wound in the mean time she kept crying hysterically and wanted us to call her boyfriend. The officer across the highway never saw what happened the people above kept waving at him and he brushed them off. This girl just wanted her cell phone so I yelled at this guy to get her purse and find her cell phone. He says I have to call 911 and said "yes you do" and her phone is right there in the weeds he starts running back up the hill to get his cell phone and I screamed at him grab "her" cell phone and call. He came back down saw it and handed it to Jessica our little crash victim and she just kept crying I can remember the number so the girl next to us grabbed it and called 911 and the ambulance was on the way. While all this is going on I'm trying desperately to find out where she is bleeding from so I'm pulling all her long black hair out of her eyes and it's all matted by the blood and I'm wiping and wiping and I see this little cut on her forehead and she's yelling am I o.k. I said yes honey your fine it's not bad at all. Another girl got next to her and hugged her to keep her warm and reassuring her that her boyfriend was on the way. She put the cell up to her to talk to her boyfriend earlier and all she could do was cry and scream. The boy friend was assured she was fine but just in shock and she had lots of people around her. He never did get there in time before the ambulance came but he saw the car off the highway and turned around and went straight to the hospital.
This picture does not do this justice it's very steep to get down there and then very tall I thought she was going to fly over this other on ramp but she was one lucky young lady. She was a 24 year old young lady that had just gotten off work at Star Bucks and was on her way home. She was very tired from the days work and had her stereo blasting and couldn't wait to get home. I thought I recognized her from the same Star Bucks as I use to go in there years ago. I asked how long have you worked there and she said "4 years" I said OK that's why I recognize you under all that hair and blood. I told her I was going to go to her work to let them know that she was in a crash. Well all was said and done and I got in my car just freezing and turned on the heater and grabbed a cigarette and just sat there shaking. The officer came over and said did you witness this? I said yeah it happened right in front of me he says "I have to take a statement from you" I said "Well I'm not coming out of this car again so hop in" he gets out of the road way with cars zooming by us goes to the other side and opens my door but won't get in. I'm like get in I'm not a mass murder, so he stands there leans in and takes my statement. Oh well so much for forceful talking.
I showed the kids at star bucks the pictures I took and said "I really want to know how she is but I have called all the hospitals and no ones heard of her. Well I had the wrong last name so no wonder? Anyway I'm tired as hell and sore so I will let ya know the rest tomorrow on how it turned out. (It's 2:45 a.m. and I'm running adrenaline)

You Are Not Going To Believe This!......

I was so busy today running around, I had to take the dogs up to my mothers because we had FOUR showings on our house!!!! Dropped the dogs off met up with my son and his family went to my ex-brother-in-laws funeral. Which I cried like a baby because Lennie had cancer and found God in the process. It was the most beautiful service ever! I go out in the parking lot after wards to go to the Grange and have a meal with everyone and my cell phone rings, it's my husband telling me we have an offer on the house!!!!!!! They have CASH and they had two questions?
No. 1 Does your security system work?
No. 2 Can you be out in 3 weeks?
We said YES! & YES! there going to write up an offer tomorrow! Whoooohoooo Mama!!!!
I was just joking that wouldn't it be great if (scenario above happened?)
I just could not believe it. It's a good thing we own storage units and there up by the new house, we have already boxed everything up and put it in storage and all we have to do now is put furniture and household necessities in storage. The new house is going like gangbusters they have put all the wire on the house and the board on the out side to stucco and tomorrow they paint the board brown which is the water proof I guess, and it has to dry completely then they put the mud on then paint. It's getting cold so they are hustling like you can't believe. Garage doors come in next Tuesday and interior doors the flooring people look like they will be on track and we found out today the cabinets we were so worried about because we ordered way late will be in next Tuesday also!!!! God is good he is watching over this family and we are grateful! We are on top of the world with happiness you have no idea.

When cleaning closets...

It's funny the things you find

My Mom gave me these fan pulls probably around 1997 and they weren't quite my thing but I did like the bride and used her for awhile, the other two are "flappers" still packed in the boxes. I have got to open an Etsy shop and start selling some of this stuff. It's not until you move that you realize just how much stuff you have.
In "1994" I was so bored I got into ceramics just a little with my Mom, who is the ceramic queen I might add. I made this for my little boy it still had little gumball toys in it and rocks and other stuff boys love to collect. I showed it to my son and he rolled his eyes like ya big deal. It is to me!! But he said "you put alot of detail on it" that I'll take. It's not good and I realize that but it was fun. My mother can make any ceramics look so real I just love it. This mail box was way up high in a closet that is real deep in my craft room, which is now empty.

Cute little fairy girl

I have no idea who this little fairy is that tricker treated me but she was a doll. I said "can I take your picture?" she said "uh huh" and then she proceed to come into my house to stay awhile and I laughed like heck. Her Mama was so embarrassed she said "she never does stuff like this she must really like you!" I said "bye" as she was leaving and she grabbed her wand from Mama and said "BYE!" real loud. She was so cute. Hope you got to see some little fairy's.

Spooky Paint

This is the funnest color ever, here it shows a dull brown and below in different light it looks like it could have green in it. When we put it up against a dark color cabinet it looks green but when it's next to white it looks brown! I fell in love with it, I just know it will all come together. I hope it shows in the pictures.

Happy Halloween!

Sweet Autumn ~ In the Park with Photographer

We had family pictures done in one of our local parks something that was way over due. Even though it was cold as ice we had a real fun time. My Grandaughter holding a leaf her Great Aunt found.

My Mom & Dad my son and his family

Trevin in "Pa's" arms was being very shy and did not want his picture taken. We tried everything so Pa picked him up and whispered to him "if you look up and smile I will give you some candy in my truck" after that he started smiling for the camera. He keeps candy in his truck all the time for his Great Grandbabies.

And he's eating his reward~ahh bribery

"Pearl" And Prison

O.K. I'll play the part and act like a lady

That's when I got me a gun"

DESPERADO -- Pearl Hart

DESPERADO -- Pearl Hart: "Pearl Hart

Pearl Taylor
1871--1925
Lindsay, Ontario, Canada
aka, Mrs. L.P. Keele

Born and raised in Lindsay, Ontario, Canada, to a middle-class and respectable family, Pearl Taylor was one of several children. She was sent to finishing school at an early age and, in 1888, at age seventeen, was seduced by a gambler, Frederick Hart. Pearl eloped with him, but marriage to Hart proved to be one hardship after another. Hart was a small time gambler and occasional bartender. Somehow he managed to scrape enough money together to take Pearl to Chicago to see the Columbian Exposition of 1893. There Hart became a barker for sideshows and Pearl worked odd jobs. She was thrilled at the Wild West shows and became enamored with the Old West, believing in all its legends and heroes."

Colors?

This will probably be my craft room, I'm standing in the far corner looking towards the hall to left and walk in closet to right. This closet goes way up inside like 10 ft. so lots of shelves for bins to store stuff up high that I don't use a lot.
Back in the entry way looking in I have two big windows side by side to look out while I'm crafting and uh day dreaming. I do the latter a lot. I forgot to tell the electrician to put about four outlets side by side for my computer geek stuff. I hate extension cords, oh well it can't be perfect. It's just the law of averages. The colors are going to be earth tones through out the house. All tones of brown and some green, I will paint rooms later like the craft room and master, I know I should do it now but it's been such a fiasco that were tired of it all and were down to the fine wire. Oh and were running out of money! You always go over budget on a home so we have to let some things go. I can do that!! no problem I just want in. I'ts going a little faster now so hopefully I'll have Christmas at my house. Everyone in the family is excited so what ever happens will be fine with all of us!

Tears Of Joy!

I drove up to the house and I can actually go into my driveway now. Into the garage door you can see down hallway to Master bedroom.
Enter utility room

Then look right to see more utility room, enter into hallway and you can see kitchen & living room to the right, and bedrooms to the left.

Left is living room, right is kitchen

Out of the hallway from the right into living room and around the corner left of picture Kitchen

Around the wall standing in living room looking into kitchen, cabinets and bar go between here.

From hallway turn left -living room

Look to the right more living room with full glass door (covered to protect door & glass) to the right of door a bench seat goes under these two windows.

Front entry utility and hallway right-I'm standing in far corner of living room looking towards front of house. (I stood here and started to cry because I can finally see the beauty in this home, and realizing this really is ours! and how fortunate we are)

A Gift

This pretty music box was made in Italy and it is my Mothers, I went to her home today and she wasn't there so I went in and waited for her. My new home is right up by her so I waited and waited, no Ma so I decided to clean. She has hard water in her sinks so bad and has complained she can't get it off. So I tackled all three sinks and got the hard water off for her with a good old fashioned pumice stone. Well when she got home she was tickled to death and had brought in some Lime away from the store. She has emphysema so she can't do a lot and was totally whooped when she came in. She could barely breathe so I made her sit down and put her oxygen on and had her relax while I finished cleaning. She has such a hard time letting us girls clean for her because she's always kept a spotless home. So we were roaming around the house and I had her show me some other things I could do. Well she had this beautiful piece that I had remembered as a child. I said "oh you still have that! I just saw one on a blog last night and I just love these" She says "you can have it I don't need it anymore" I was blown away and then she gave me another Victorian sconce that is so cool. She said "leave it here if you want until you move into the new home" But this music box was coming home with me tonight!! I shall put my little secrets inside of it.

More on the House

It turned real cold on us it seems overnight, here the guys are putting in the framing for the deck. Can you say heavy duty?

Hanging out with no doors yet.

Septic system going in now and complete. The sheet rockers started inside the garage today and also above in the beams. They will do the inside of the house tomorrow. Very exciting to me.

Do You Ever Feel Lost?

Frustrated? Everything but the most important part is getting done with the house. They will be in Wednesday 14th to sheet rock. My cabinet man has put me off for way to long...I just got his bid.... $50,000 dollars!!!! Now I have high end taste folks but this is ridiculous. This covers only the cabinets in the house, bath, laundry, kitchen. That does not include floors or counter tops! We have dealt with this guy in all our Commercial endeavors but never a house....he's gonna have to stick to Commercial. I just ran last Friday to get 2 more bids so we will see what they come up with. And they said there 4 to 5 weeks out!!! to get them done. ): My Father just did my nephews house last summer and the entire package was. $18,000 and that was for everything! My guy I have been working with showed me the last drawing of the plans Friday by fax. When I got that you should have heard me, I sounded like a sailor I was so angry. 3 weeks he's held me up! with computers now they can have it drawn up in 1 day! And get this he added a few things
for me that I did not request, like 2 laundry hampers in the master bath cabinets...I don't want no stinken wood laundry baskets. I have a huge laundry room.
Here's my kitchen..I added the furniture legs.
The upper cabinet is for show only, glass fronts. And this is not the type of upper one I asked for, it is not a square box but is suppose to be more vertical. (I will not cuss I will not cuss)

The plan showed to have an ugly panel at the end here for the desk, so I changed it to furniture legs.
The cabinet was to go on the left wall in this little corner but it would not fit. I just drew and oval mirror like I'm going to have cause I have full mirrors in the old house now and I'm not having that washing nightmare anymore.
Is this cool or what? Well take the fancy salad bowl sinks out cause I didn't want that either. But are not these cabinets sitting on top of counter the best, with glass panels that light up inside!
Very expensive on the bath and kitchen so I told him not to put any doors above on cabinets cause I'm doing the basket thing.
To the left was was a real tiny drawer and cabinet so I had them take it out. I want to just have a place for the garbage can and not inside a cupboard. I'm suppose to have doors on this side so not sure why they aren't drawn in? See what I mean. If the cabinets would have been ordered on time and approved on time I would probably move in by Dec 1st who knows now. But we are putting our house on the market this Monday. It is exciting and I'm very grateful to all the men & women that have built, concreted, insulated etc. Hopefully (krum Mondays a holiday) Tuesday my plans will be ready at the other 2 places. I'M SO TIRED.....zzzzzz

As Promised...

The concrete is finished!

Concrete never looked so good.

Just a little decorative border

Oh and a big surprise to me they put insulation in

Here's the back porch and the top deck is getting started also. The upper deck is concrete also for flooring with iron railings. That's the plans anyway were starting to go way over budget so the inside cabinets won't be as gorgeous as I wanted. (Isn't that always the way?) (:

And here is the man who made it all possible, my sweet Daddy.

My sweet Rose book

Another book I picked up the other day, It's just falling apart but in sweet enough condition. Look at these pictures!

The inside is in real good shape it's the outside cover and binding that need tlc. It's beautiful

Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart plays in a Movie series called "Twilight" no this is not my kind of thing (what's with all the vampire shows coming out on T.V.?) I just loved this picture with the lace and her gorgeous eyes? Then I blew her up to see them eyes and....she's a vampire! Very pretty picture so I thought I would share.

My Newest Find

The gold leaf bled through to several pages and it looks really cool.
