Gone baby gone

Well here are the last of my flowers, Summer is officially over. Time to get the hot chocolate out and the favorite blankies.

Fall is here! And we have had the prettiest days, still warm in the afternoons and time to put the heat on in the mornings. My friends called me last night and said "Come on over in the morning were making biscuits and gravy" I haven't had this in a long while and it was wonderful. I love how my single girlfriends don't sit around and whine because they don't have a man around. There use to doing for them selves and if they can't get something done, they call in a girlfriend who knows how to fix it. Women can be so self sufficient and powerful. They have taught me a thing or two. It's not that they don't like men it's either through death, divorce that there single. We talk about men but we know we don't need them. There's a difference when you get older and have it all figured out or you hope so anyway. I've been spending time with my son's going out to dinner and just hanging out with them and there friends. Days are definitely slowing down. Hope you all have been doing well! Now off to see your blogs and what you have been up to.

Candles In The Wind

Isn't this the prettiest lamp? It's from the candle company you get at parties that is so pricey. My Daughter-in-law was a sales person and she got all things with slashed prices, this is hers. Looks great for Halloween coming up. Well I'm all rested after my vacation and the house cleaning all caught up. Now I have appointments that have to be made for my health and I just hate going through all the B. S. but it must be done. My kidney for those of who remember was about 8 years ago but they still keep track of my one that's left to make sure it does not become cancerous. I feel good so I'm sure there's no problem there. Then address and check up on diabetes as per usual. Sounds like fun huh? Boring! At least my mental health is good, I've found so much peace since I separated from my husband. Life can be so good when you take time to reflect on your life. I like being alone 98% of the time, I only get lonely now and then. When that happens I go see my Grand kids and that always takes care of the loneliness.
I'm also working very hard at my storage business, it's time to clean up after summer, getting cobwebs off of 365 units takes awhile and so does sweeping up the rows after the ones that like to throw garbage around getting caught in the chain link fence. Fixing doors that have come off of there channels, painting stairways to the apartments above my office. Got to spruce it up! People think it's an easy job but in no way is it easy. Just this week we had a 30 year old who's mother rented a unit for him. He immediately put grease all over his door then garbage thrown out of his door several times, I kept calling the mother to let her know that we do not put up with this kind of stuff and we will have to remove her son if it doesn't stop. She said she'll let him know. The day after my call he must have gotten the message because he dumped oil all over the asphalt and threw a ton of garbage out! I'm like "here we go again" something is wrong with this guys head. He put an additional lock on his unit which is a no no. So we had enough and told Mom we wanted her and him out! He was given a date to move out and he didn't budge. So my husband went out to talk to him and said "That's one scary guy" and he's crazy mean as a loon. So next thing is we started a lien on his property to help things move along. My husband went with my son out to talk to him again, and my son had a gun in the car, his Dad told him you do not pull that gun out unless he's killing me. That's how scary this guy was. I don't know how Darrell did it but he talked the guy into moving out. Thank God for that, and we only have to deal with this type maybe 2 times a year. The thing is the cops don't want to get involved, "we can't make him move out". So much for the cops! I told my husband "I'm billing the mother for all the damage" and he said "No way! you don't realize how frightening this guy was" So we suck up the expense once again. Such is the life of storage owners. Anyway enough of that how is your week going? Love, Pearl

I know it looks like its Christmas but it's not, I'm writing about my fun time at the beach this past week. I mainly shopped for the two cuties above, my grand kids. My girlfriend and I went to Lincoln City Oregon and spent four nights at a small house, it was done in the Cottage style and was  very cute. We had a washer and dryer and that was a good thing. We washed a lot of new clothes, something I needed desperately. I knew of two other people going at the same time, my hair dresser and my sons best friend. We were suppose to have been close access to the beach but no way was it close to walk. We got so involved buying for people that we never made it on the beach but got close. The bad part is while I was parked and shopping someone took out my drivers outside mirror. Thank goodness it was designed to collapse when someone hit it so only damage was to the mirror. But its electronic and that always costs you. So $500 dollars later I have a new mirror. Jaci had to tell me the whole way home when I could move to the left lane. Scary for sure. It was a much needed vacation since I haven't been in years. We watched a glass blower give a class to anyone that wanted to sign up could. Since I have no lungs we just shopped in there store and I found a round globe with blue, purple, and orange and when you look into it, it's like looking into infinity. So beautiful. We got home and I'm so tired it's unreal, I've been trying to catch up for 3 days now. We met some wonderful people along the way which made the trip. Summer

Well summer was hot and long, good growing season though. I've enjoyed trying out new plants like Dahlias, they grew into big bushes, I had no idea they could grow this big, but they made a good hedge in my pot on the patio. So it gave me privacy and enjoyment all summer long.

New pot friends, and I finally painted this old bench but no after picture. I painted it black again and mainly use it for sitting pots on. I was the Pot Queen this year, no pun intended, I have such crappy soil here so I have some huge pots going. I just have them in big groups on the patio and it's that jungle privacy thing I like. I'm still getting ready for my trip to Lincoln City September 11th and I'm so excited. Buying little things like a sewing kit, shampoos in travel size ext. well I hope your weekend was good and relaxing. Talk to you soon.

Antiquing

From WallaWalla wa. See this gorgeous dressing table? I wanted to buy but the owner would not budge. 2 years later she had finally sold it, but not to me. Bummed me out but she had so many smalls that I always found something.

So much to see in this mall it took me and my sister a couple of hours to see it all. So much fun! 

I'm still having trouble with blogger but it may be my computer. Probably the later. This pic is not me but it says it all.

Good to see you all again, Laurie my back patio is my sanctuary it has tall plants in big pots to give me privacy and it's so serene. Yours is so peaceful looking and having your sister to talk to is a plus.

A nice weekend

My little Angel, grandson Trevin, he's 7 now, but I had to share his Christmas play with you. I think we all have pictures like this. He's trying so hard to figure out if this paper candle is real.
I'm having a terrible time posting from my computer, all of a sudden my computer does not recognize my wireless mouse and keyboard so I change all my batteries and that did no good.  I'll keep working on it. I had a wonderful weekend with cooler temps, my eldest son visiting me and we got into a deep conversation. I'm so glad my boys know they can come to me at any age. Tye is 35 and Brandon is 22. I don't get to see the eldest much because he has a family and a job that never ends, but I love to talk to him because he's so much like me. I'm truly blessed neither son has ever been a trouble. Well that's it not much else going on. Have a great week!

Here's Baby at the old place playing in his baby pool. We through rocks in it and he would put his head under water and get them. He had this pool for years and he entertained us a lot with it.                                                                                  

And the love of my life Rocky, the greatest little dog ever. He was just a big hearted guy who's main purpose in life was to love all who came his way, he's gone 4 years now but I still think of him all the time. Yes Pat I did get a new puppy, he's a Maltese and the sweetest little s..t ever but lord knows I'm reaching deep inside for patience training this one. Laurie I tried the doggie pads for pee training and came home to thirty thousand little pieces strewn all over the house!! He tears up everything, so I have learned to go back to the old standard of putting him in his cage when I'm gone. Now he's getting much better. Wants to please me now. I would love to put up pictures of new puppy but as I've said my phone camera is not compatible with my computer, Wah!!! So I will bore you all with the past. Off to see what my girlfriend is up to her daughter moved out of the house and she's upset. I say "Set them free!!" She's 57 years old and her daughter is 26. So the drama continues. And last but not least, women always catch the big ones. Its been a long month for me as I'm waiting anxiously for September to get here. I'm going on my first real trip since 15 years ago to the coast, Oregon coast to be exact. My family and I use to go to Cannon Beach every year for a vacation, that was back when they had the real cabins right on the beach from the thirties. Glass door knobs, rustic all the way. You know the good old days! They had nothing but hippie shops downtown and I loved to go through all of that all day long. A real taffy shop, huge lollipops that would break your teeth. I guy drew our pictures when I was on the beach, I was about 14 years old and he did a fantastic job. Now it's all high rises, high cost, and shops with high end glass, jewelry that will cost you an arm and leg. So Cannon Beach is out of the question, me and my girlfriend found a house on the beach in Lincoln City right on the beach and real cheap. It's so cute, Iron black bed with frilly curtains, a real fireplace and wood provided. I love that we can go on the beach and have a fire also. It's the cutest little house probably built in the sixties. I'm so anxious to go and get away from it all! I have my son staying at the house so he can puppy sit, which makes it real nice.
Yes Pat I'm on Face book, what's your last name? Laurie glad to see you will start posting again I miss ya on here. I have at least 10 of you sweeties that say you will start posting again, so that's great, I miss all of you. I continue to have trials with this new puppy of mine, so much poop and so little time. I swear this time for sure I will never have a puppy ever ever again. Sharon how do you do it with two! I sure do love him though he keeps my old dog young, and there inseparable now. Well I did finally get my shabby bedroom after all, similar to this one. I can't upload pictures because my phone is not compatible with my p.c. I just bought the phone so here we are. I love the mirrors over this bed since there in my style of frame. Cute idea I'll have to be on the hunt to find mirrors now. I wish all my buddies would start posting as it gets lonely around here. The Passing Of Robin Williams

Of course I was stunned that Robin Williams had passed away. He was with out a doubt the best comedian of our times. Of all time according to me..This man always could make me laugh out loud, and feel so darned happy. My son and I would watch him together all the time. And we'd be holding our stomachs laughing so hard. God I'm going to miss him.

Yummm

My girlfriend called and said that the Nilson company for T.V. came by and singed her up to be part of television land and they gave her a really cute wire basket full of popcorn, candy, chips etc. Then today they stopped by and gave her a Marion Berry Pie. She said come on over and I'll share with you, took me 2 seconds to say I'm on my way! That was a nice treat with French Vanilla ice cream. It sure broke up my boring evening to have company and Jaci is always good for lots of laughs. She really should be a comedian she's that good. And we all know how a good laugh makes us feel. So I had to brag to you all. Nighty Night

Laurie's Kindness

 Here's a blast from the past, Laurie made this for me when my Granddaughter was I'm guessing about 2years. I always admired her work so she made this up for me and I was thrilled. It still stands in my office after all these years. Love it, Thanks so much Laurie.

This is my sister Cheryl and my niece Darcy, about Thirty years ago. I'm so nostalgic today, her story is a sad one to tell another day. At the age of forty my sister passed away from a heroin over dose, she  had been an addict since she was 18 years old and never could give it up. All her family and friends tried in vain to many times to get her sober but it was not to be. My niece is alive and well with a family of her own and doing well. God rest her soul, I often wonder what she would be like had she never known drugs. O.K. so now that I've totally depressed you lets move on. Wow my typing skills need a boost and this is a good place to get practice. I will try to post newer pictures as a I have a new love in my life. No not no dam man I don't want one of them for awhile. I got a new Maltease puppy and he's adorable. He gets so excited when I come home (unlike my ex-husband) and my old poodle Baby loves him to death and it's brought out a new spark in the ole guy. So that's my life now and I'm enjoying it. Work, some play (not enough) and home. Sounds boring huh? It is a little but the freedom is like no other. Have a great day and I'll see ya soon. Well Hello There Old Friend

Well it has been a long time since I've posted anything on Blogger, I found Pinterest years ago and then I started on Facebook and that's all she wrote. My life is pretty boring these days, let's see I've ended a 25 year relationship with my husband, bought another new house but much smaller since it's just me and my two pups. I'm happy healthy and should have divorced years ago. Because I found my self again and the freedom is so wonderful. I plan on doing some traveling with my girlfriend, and just some me time for a change. I also want to do some reading (any suggestions?) And I'm so busy trying to get my business in order, it takes a lot of time and energy. I will never be able to retire! Wah Wah, that's what you get for having one in the first place. It pays the bills well so that's a good thing ha. I posted this for you mainly Wendy because you asked one time if I was ever coming back. If something interesting turns up in my life I'll see ya soon!!

I'm still around

 Just some random pictures to let you know I'm still around, I just don't shop like I use to as the pictures show I love Antiques Vintage. But there really is a stopping point for me, I am getting rid of all my smalls and I might find a big piece of furniture but alas running out of space for that. I am mainly on Face book now. Nowadays I just work and garden which is enough for me. I hope you all are finding your relaxing spot in the world. :)

Count Your Blessings

 I finally found a stand for my Statue at Hobby Lobby is was 50% off is the only reason I bought it, they are just to expensive for me. One just like this had a damaged top and its just pressed saw dust. Pure junk! But this one just had some little spots of paint rubbed off and that was fine by me, I just dabbed it with paint and it looks fine.

I found this gorgeous book box with this sweet little girl holding flowers. I love these little boxes to put stuff in them for people I love. Both my boys have boxes with all there stuff from school  and growing up. A baseball that my son had when he was young, pictures he has not seen and love letters from me. I'm doing the same for the Grand kids! What little treasures are you saving?

Happy Fathers Day

My weekend from hell

 Oh looks can be so deceiving, those precious eyes, that cute face. But trust me this is a 1 1/2 pound ball of Terrorism!! I called her Miss Bella in the beginning cause well she was cute. By the end of the second day I called her Terrorist. This mutt tore up 3 pairs of shoes, my arms and hands are covered with sores from her sharp claws and biting. She is only 3 months old, and was taken from the litter way to early. My kids bought her and really love her, well that's because my two Grandkids can keep up with her. With my c.o.p.d. and other health issues I could not keep up. I called my son and said "o.k. we tried it and I now want to kill it so please come pick her up, Baby can't stand her either and I think he wants to eat her" I'll be right over he says. Well that was joy to my ears! Now don't get me wrong, I'm known as a big animal lover but I will never have a puppy ever again!!

New Yard Is Done!

 New yard, I finally got the bark in and plants, now I get to plant many small plants I love like

 Purple Clematis, in my pot here with one of my trellis's. These get so gorgeous.

 I received a Bench that had been restored, the Grands love it. It's there's they said.

 An old clay fish I bought many years ago hangs on the wall. Enlarge you can even see a mole above his lip.

 I have some lights to go under the cabana. I'll have to con someone to put them up, nope not gonna be me!

I have a bleeding heart, Anemone, Dalia, Lobelia, Poppy's you name it I'll put it in. I'm having so much fun designing my new yard. The other house was way to windy and I'm sure glad to not be on the hill anymore. I hope you all have a great wend, we had perfect warm weather yesterday, and today high dusty dirty winds. That's the way it is in the dust bowl of the Tri-Cities.
