Settleling down a bit

 Nothing like a vase of flowers to cheer up a room, multi colors that make me smile each day and think of sunshine.

 I always have to have a bowl or tray of fruit to keep my engine running smoothly. :)

 I went shopping today to get some essentials and one non-essential, new can opener, cookie trays, etc.

 The only phone I have right now is Mickey but he sure makes me smile every time he says "Oh boy you've got a phone call" and then he laughs. It makes me laugh each time.

Baby is taking one of his rare breaks from following me all over the house, poor baby still doesn't know whats going on. My son and Darrell have seen him a few times and he's over joyed but as soon as I move around he follows me. I was gone for two days getting the house ready for him to join me and he was really lost. He is so devoted to me and such a sweetheart. My Granddaughter just called me and said she and Mommy were out shopping and would I like them to pick up one of my favorite drinks and bring it over? I said "Sure!" Isn't that sweet? Talk to you soon and I hope you all have a good wend.

I'm In My New House!

I got in the new house two days ago and moved all the big furniture in and boxes and boxes galore! My husband and two sons all helped out with a moving truck and to say the least we all have bad backs today except the 21 year old son! I brought my dog Baby in Saturday and he is my constant shadow and keeps going to the front door looking for my boys and just can't figure out what's going on. But with new toys and food he's happy. You can always show love through a mans stomach, err dog. We are setting in nicely but as you can see we are in a bit of disarray.

 View of my wonderful kitchen which I adore, with lighting under the cabinets which I have always wanted. New to me also is granite counter tops, I must admit I like my laminate counters we put in our luxury home better. My Mom has always had the granite and the water spots and dust that show on them sucks, but I will deal with it I still have to get water softener and that's going to take some time. The water around here is very hard.

 Like my curtains? Thanks there the $3.00 and 2.00 dollar flat sheet only ones from Walmart which a lady pinned on Pinterest. Great tip until you get curtains up. How do you like my card table? Another purchase I need to make ha ha.

 Here is my master bedroom which I get to use my Antique furniture now, Yippee!!

 Here is the dressing table, I still have to get a mattress for the bed frame, until then I'm quit comfortable with an old one on the floor. It's like camping out. The bench here is to be recovered, which I have the materiel so I can put the right era of materiel on.

Then pan left more to my toasty gas fireplace. I have never used gas except in camp trailers so I am loving this. I still have to find a T.V. console instead of my Grandma's hope chest she gave me right after she passed. Thanks Granny! Well that pretty much sums up the tour for today and I promise pictures out side as well as I continue on my journey. I feel so happy!!!! and blessed. Thanks for going on the tour with me :)

Almost Done!

 My husband went out and picked him and my son some new silverware and dishes, and he did a good job. I'm taking the old and when he pulled out the pans and pots he bought, I was so shocked he bought blue. I said "Oh you should give me them Paula Dean pots, and you can have the old ones" he said "no"

 Bought more tub bins tonight since I'm running out again, so many breakables to pack.

 Here's his new Correlle set, I said I want those to, he said no!

 By the way I have found Paula Deans sets to be the best! They will not scratch the porcelain tops and do not warp.

Baby follows me from room to room, he knows something is going on. He will be a mess in the first couple of weeks not being with all of us. But he will visit from time to time when each of us go out of town. He is well loved. Hopefully I am looking around February 5 or 7th to take possesion of the house. I am pre approved but you can not believe the paperwork they make you fill out now. Sooner rather than later! Have a great wkend coming up.

I Got It!

This is not my house, but I just got a call from my Realtor and I now own my new home!! I'm so excited and there is so much to do. I may be busy but I will keep in touch. Hugs, Pearl

Easy Peesy dinner meal

If you love Pork, Apples, and sweet potatoes your gonna love this! My sister-in-law turned us onto this and she is one fine cook.

If you can't read the directions let me know? The first time we tried this we did not have Orange juice and it was dry dry dry. Second time we used the orange and oh my the moistness of the meat and others  were perfection. So good for a family of 4 or 3 adults, we wiped this out tonight. I think we were hungry? Enjoy!

 I'm waiting on my answer to a 3rd bid I've put in, this contractor wants to much so I'm holding tough. It's not easy he's such a tight wad, that's probably more then what he's saying about me. And don't get me started on Realtor's! they don't work for anyone but themselves. Anyway enough of that because I really am excited about this home, it's totally me. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. It's more then enought for me but my Grand baby's as I've mentioned before are a big part of my life. And I'm giving them each a room. The color on the house is so weird, it's like a puke brownish green. Will change that one day.

 This is in the Master bath, I can't wait to get into that tub! And a nice big shower.

 The kitchen is a lot like mine now, very pretty. But the house is all gas? something I've never had in a house before. Hope I like it.

 A real nice gas fireplace, and the carpet is a little darker then this so it won't show so much dirt.

 I will have a desk in the kitchen so that will save on not having to buy a desk.

Just a shot to the front door, the door is 8ft. tall and so are the two slider doors. Two bedrooms on one end of the house and two on the other. I like that a real separation. Hey I could rent out rooms! Hah don't think so. I will let ya know if I get this beautiful home soon. Wish me luck! And how is your day going?

Happy New Year to all my Family & Friends! I'm going to try and get back into my blogging again since I have had a pretty good break. Here's looking forward to a new year, the search for my new house is well on it's way. I've put a bid on one that is perfect for me so it's in God's hands now. Hopefully I will have good news by the end of the week. I am  so excited and so are my Grandkids they love the thought of a new house to help me decorate. My eight year old loves to decorate and help her Grandmother and my Grandson is right there to help. They are my life! I hope your new year is full of happiness and kindness!

 What a wonderful Christmas we had, this is my Granddaughter showing off her new clothes and her Hello Kitty hat. She got new outfits and loved them all.

 Here is Alexis with her brother Trevin in his new Angry Birds tie, and Alexis in her new dress I got her. And Camden there cousin. Our two year old would not have his picture taken because he wanted to eat and we were not going to stop him from doing that!

Here is Lauran my sisters daughter-in-law who is the mom of the two year old. She had my sister open a gift bag with a heart in it, and when she opened it, it said "It's a girl" my sister totally lost it and started to cry. Lauren and her son just found out the sex of the baby there having. My sister was so hoping a little girl would be born and she got her wish! It was a fun way to tell her. Perfect Gift

 I have a little friend who makes my coffee each day with the sweetest smile and always a great attitude.  If I'm having a bad day it completely melts away when this young lady greets me, when I saw this owl ornament I totally thought of her as she loves everything owls!! You know what it's like when you find that perfect gift sheer joy!!

I love this picture of my Grandson a couple of years ago in his Christmas play, he truly is an angel in his Grandmother's eye's. I love to watch all the kids in the family open there gifts so that's what I am excited about. All is well here....

Finally!

 Finally got the tree up and decorated and have more to go. My daughter-in-law called and we went out the other night and I got my Christmas shopping done. That sure feels good and ease's my pee brain.

 Like I said I down sized this year on the tree and I'm glad I did. Sure makes life easier and I'm really into that these days.

 I had to get a new Santa he cracked me up the way his legs are splayed open and sits on a shelf.

 A few of my ornaments that I like, I need more but they did not have my kinda blue this year just that Teal crap. Sorry both of my nieces love Teal.

I found the feathered owls I've been seeing all over Pinterest, they sure have some cute natural ones to. It's hard to get into the swing of things since after 28 years of marriage I'm getting a divorce. Yep you heard it right, the big D. We still care about each other and have several business's together and will continue to work together but we are making each other miserable at home. You know when all you do is argue about every single thing and can't get along it's time to let go and let God. This has been a thought process of mine for several years. And once I told my husband it was a great heaviness off of my shoulders. I have to admit I'm a little afraid to be alone again, but when I think of the peace I will have it sounds wonderful. I'm buying a house and he will keep this one. I can't wait to make a place of my own and have three bedrooms so my two Grand kids can come over and play and not disturb anyone, we do like to get loud :) But there's one thing in life I know and that is that things have a way of working out, with prayer and being around ones that love you. It will take a few months before I move on so stay tuned for the divorce diaries. I hope all your dreams come true and have a wonderful Christmas with friends and family. And to the bloggers that have sent me Christmas cards I love you guys and I value our friendships. Merry Christmas!!

Slowly but surely

 Slow and sure I'm getting Christmas out, to the joy of my Grankids, I have downsized my tree to a four footer on a table top. Sure makes it easier for me and I'm loving it! Are these pics not adorable? I got them off of my iPhone wallpaper. I have also been doing most of my shopping on line and getting some good deals last cyber Monday. I'll show some pics soon. How's your Christmas coming?

An Elvis sighting

This is my neighbors child and he has been reborn Elvis for Halloween! Momma ordered the little costume and put all the rhinestones on. He is the most handsome baby I've ever seen. What a delight for this new Mom. She had to bring him over on Halloween to show us. Sure glad she did. My little ones had a great night to. Hope yours was good as well....
