And of course my little 16yr. old sweet heart will always stay up late with his Mom. Not much going on around here in craft land as I'm sorting through all my stuff and my girlfriends doing the same and were going to have the biggest estate sale you've ever seen. My sisters joining in and she is the biggest pack rat I've ever known and has tons of cool stuff. It's a ton of work putting prices on all of it so busy, busy me Lizzie. Hope you all are having more fun then this :)

I Have To Admit...

I have to admit I am a PINK FREAK. You never could have told this ole Tom Boy that I would ever like pink? It started with rose's a pink one here a pink one there, and pretty soon I was only looking at tones of pink? Then I had a granddaughter and that's all she wrote and she's a Tom Boy too!

We had a nice warm storm here today with lot's of wonderful lightning and rain. It was quite a show up here so the family sat on the balcony and we oohed and awed. Nice relaxing day, I hope yours was good too.

Shiny Coats

This is Bell the day she went to her new home. She has found a permanent home and she had a check up at the vets and there was no chip in her and she was free of any problems except starving. And here she is now! Look at the pictures back and forth and you can see the difference in her head and back thighs, look how shiny she is after good food and a bath! Amazing isn't it?

Just in my new toy to play with, I've always wanted one of these to hang jewelry on cause you never know I may still get my shop one day.

These rose tags I saw on a tree she had and they are some kind of acrylic with the sweetest roses and little flowers ever. And you can see through them (notice the chair handle)

I got home late last night as I had a big busy day and out on the front porch was this surprise box. Well not actually a surprise as I knew it was coming but I didn't think it would get here this fast from Holland. My gosh there's so much in this package and the wrapping is to cute. Ester you are a sweet, sweet lady to send me so much!! I am so blessed and grateful you have no idea, what fun to get something from so far away.

The dolls are so pretty with there gorgeous rose's and there sweet little faces. The picture of this little girl on vellum will be used for sure. Yay a new project.

Some music paper that is always appreciated as I use it in my crafts. And a touching post card with Mother sitting and listening to her son read a book.

A little tag of a girl on cloth, toooooo cute! And I love the rose tag it's done on something very heavy like tin or a metal of some kind? Let me know Ester

Happy Mothers Day

My wonderful 18 year old bought me this beautiful crystal Humming Bird and Rose. He knows exactly what his Mother likes he is so considerate.

My oldest son gave me a gorgeous card that his wife made and told me he loved me. Very special to this old gal.

And of course last but not least their daughter made Grammy a card from the flowers in her yard and leaf's she's six years old. I taught her to use what mother nature has given us and she has never forgotten.

Gifts From The Heart

My mother-in-law came to visit this wkend and she brought more lovely keepsakes. This little doll with her button up shoes and teddy she also has a little book and is reading to her bear.

She was a collector of little perfume bottles-love the lips!

And this wonderful hand cream and shower cream, I can't get enough of it.

She has been giving me her stamps with wonderful sayings and birds! My grandchildren will love the child stamps

This miniature rose and lamp, the rose comes out of the vase and the lamp is pretty heavy.

Then I went shopping at my girlfriends as she is down sizing and got this fantastic metal basket its quite heavy and will be great for my fruit bowl. All in all it was a very good day. Hope you all have a great wkend!

Well ladies Jenn wrote to me this eve and told me Bell is with a foster family (a friend of hers) and that they went to the garage to get her this morning and she was all hugs and kisses! She is so grateful to have people around her and a safe place to be. These folks have three other dogs but they have to keep her away from them until the find out if she has fleas, worms or anything else going on. They are giving her a couple of days to settle in before they take her, which is a real good idea. I am so happy to know she is not out in the scrub brush sleeping in the canyon anymore with all the things I've seen here. Coyote's, snakes, weird giant spiders etc. and just the weather we have been having lately. 30 -40 mile an hour winds with the worst dust storms ever. My flower pots are a wreck with wind damage yuck!

Update Again!

Well "Bell" the dog has found a new home for sure, Jenn & her sister came over and fell in love with her. She took to them right away but kept coming back to me, I guess there very territorial and get very attached. Oh I had a tear when she left that's for sure but I only got good vibes from these two very special breeders and Dane lovers. Jenn told me that she is a puppy never been spayed and a gorgeous "Blue" Dane. Mr. P talked to a couple of our neighbors and they have no idea who she belonged to and they noticed her hanging around also for a very long time. The more I played with her today the more scabs and old scars kept showing up and two open wounds but not bad. Well I will never forget her and Jenn said she would e-mail me and let us know how she is doing. I hope "Bell" gives her lots of babies for her kind heart and I know she will have a happy life.

Look how thin she is.

Shes my best friend now my miniature poodle went out the side yard to potty and saw this huge giant and ran after her, he's such a dork! This girl trotted away from Baby and Baby chased her around the house. She growled at me and I'm like "hey I'm the one feeding you sister" we went out 20 mins later and there she was again but she was close so baby barked and stayed by me. So I got low to the ground not to be a threat to her and she came up to see Baby and started to sniff my back so I put my hand out and she checked that out and then went for baby and Baby started screaming (yeah this one screams like a girl) so I put Baby in the garage and got the bag of dog food and she ate right away then came to me wagging her tail wanting more. She let me pet her and started wagging her tail. When she was finished she wanted to play jumping on me, have you ever played with one of these giants? She landed on my foot and of course I had sandals on and thought she crushed my foot. Youser! that hurt but I opened up the basement door and she came right in and just came by me and wanted to be petted and let me hold her face and stroke her between the eyes and she is lovely. They are Gentle Giants as they say and I would love to keep her but Baby has been traumatized all day. He just wants to be held poor buddy. Anyway I talked to the young lady again today and told her this so she is still coming out to see if they can get her. She has two people so far that are Great Dane lovers and one being her Mother. So I am so grateful to this young women.

Am I Rich Yet?

I got this book last Saturday because I had heard about it on t.v. as I was perusing through it I saw this phone. I was like "That's Grandmas Phone!" I went to our storage and found it and now I am rich, right?

It is with out a doubt the ugliest phone ever. But my farm Grandma had one in her bedroom and as a young girl I was fascinated by it. She caught me playing with it alone in the bedroom and she said "what are you doing?" and I being a little scared said "nothing" she said "well come on out of here and we will find something more useful for you to do" I was like cool she didn't yell at me or nothing. I was quite the little _ _ _ _ when I was younger (did I say younger, hah!) Anyway I think the phone was a pretty cool concept but dang I'm going to have to fun it up with some vintage lace and millinery flowers.

Now what is happier than that? Update on the Great Dane: Mr. P brought home dog food and she came up and devoured the food. I called a young women that breeds these dogs in our same city and she is concerned so she is coming up with a friend tomorrow with another Great Dane to see if they can find her. In the mean time Mr. P is going to try and get close to her to put a leash around her. She tolerates him better so we are crossing our fingers. This young lady sounds like you Laurie she absolutely loves this breed. She is not in the rescue business but bless her heart she is concerned enough to want to try and help. A special shout out to "Jennifer's Petal Palace" Where have you been girlfriend I have been worried about you? I was so happy that you commented you have no idea! I hope you start blogging again real soon blessings, Pearl

It's A Girl!!

I finally got to snap a picture of this beautiful female, I've been putting biscuits out the side garage door and noticed they were gone so I went into the kitchen to scrounge something up and the cupboards are bare. I read where these local people who raise these animals feed them nothing but raw vegetables so one can of corn and what the heck maybe she will eat kidney beans? I found her later in the yard rolling on her back licking her chops and snapped these pics. So I waited until she left and found this

Yep it's true vegetables it is! I called Mr. P and asked if he would bring home a very large sack of dog food so it's on it's way. When I went down and took this pic she was next door in the neighbors dirt with 30 to 40 miles an hour wind gusts. I called her "Bell" come here girl and she looked at me and as soon as I turn to go and look back she is no where in sight. Oh she's quick this one, but I am winning her over with food slowly but surely.

Wild Animals In My Back Yard!

Wild vicious animals that look like this! Isn't he sweet, he is not really the one in the back yard we have tried for 4 months to figure out what wild animal was coming up and turning on our backyard security lights? And I noticed my pails for watering plants were being drank out of, my husband said "no coyote would come up this close" so I was standing outside and looking at the weather and all of a sudden this guy comes around the corner.

He looks just like this show dog except his ears are not cropped. A Great Dane! so I said "Hi puppy" and he turned away and ran. Then this morning we saw him way down in the canyon sunning himself in a clearing. My husband went out to feed him but he took off like a bullet scared to death of humans. So Mr. P (Ive always wanted to say that :) laid the steak down and about 4 hours later we saw him come back and eat it. Now I was just out again and he came up and I said my usual howdy do and he ran again. So we had a big old pot roast for dinner and I threw a hunk of that down off the balcony. I'm sure it will be gone by morning. These are high priced dogs and we just can't figure out why someone would dump this animal up here or is he lost? he's "very thin" so we looked at the animal shelters to see if someone lost him and nothing? I'll continue to feed him because he seems so lonely and lost, was he abused he doesn't look sick just starving. I have decided to become his friend and see if I can win him over and see if I can find him a new home. Oh the adventures in the country.....
